Though the blog had paused, the homestead had not. Ever changing, yet still the same. We have been busy doing the things we love, striving to become even more self sufficient which is not such a bad thing in these crazy times we live in! The last couple of years we have focused on more infrastructure. The high tunnels were the first. They have provided more winter vegetables than we could possibly imagine. A lot of the lettuces seeded down and we didn't even have to replant. Raised beds are every where. Gardens have been expanded and new ones started. I've expanded my canning knowledge and have added complete meals in a jar to my pantry shelves. We have built another large hoop coop to house the meat birds. The biggest expansion was a barn on the back of the property that serves as a shop/ barn for Hubby's business and our expanding farm. It also serves as a meeting place for our Farmer's Community Church which meets about every 5 weeks with a potluck after.

So come along with me as we continue to live the life, love the dream and enjoy our blessings on the homestead!
