Saturday Chores

 Another busy day on the homestead. No rain last night so we were able to get the last of the hay round baled and in the barn. The barn is starting to look nice and full and we still have 2 fields yet to cut. Old man winter can do what he wants, the animals will be eating well this year! 

After the long day yesterday we didn't tackle any heavy chores. Just the normal things, feeding the animals, watering the gardens because our weather people really stink these days with predicting weather! 

I harvested garlic scapes and a few herbs. More scapes will be ready tomorrow so it looks like pesto and compound butter are on the horizon.

 Hubby wanted a hot dog tonight so I made buns for supper. These are so delicious, better than any store bought for sure! I will share with the family and freeze the rest. 

Productive but pretty quiet here today. We need days like that!
