A good soaking rain moved in overnight. As of this morning we had an inch. We enjoyed a leisurely breakfast this morning, something that does not happen often. Hubby worked in his shop on a hay wagon and I piddled in the kitchen most of the early part of the day. I made his favorite whole wheat chocolate chip cookies, baked buns for this evening's cookout and of course the daily crackers.
It was still pouring this evening so we opted for a jar of home canned chicken pot pie over biscuits. Burgers tomorrow!
