Vet Check

The vet was out today to do the TB and brucellosis tests on Honey. He checked her over and declared her to be in good health. Now all we have to do is wait for the test results. The TB test will be read on Friday and the blood work may take a week. Until then the calves will continue to get the milk and we will just spend quality time with Honey. Soon though we will have fresh milk, butter, cheese and yogurt again. Yeah!

    Hi Kelly, Thanks for your reply post. I would like to try sheep too, but at the moment I'm trying to sell my house to purchase my little piece of "heaven". Thank you for sharing your soup recipe. I live on the outskirts of Buffalo, NY....you thin it was cold where you were 24 degrees here today and lots of SNOW!

    BTW, thank you for sharing your daily activities, it gives someone like me an idea of the daily chores and all of the things you have to do to keep up with small farming...lots of work, but nice rewarding lifestyle. I've enjoyed reading thru all your past posts.
